Kidney-Friendly Recipes

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

This policy explains how Kidney-Friendly Recipes by Anna Brookfield ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit annabrookfield.com or sign up for a free guide.

What we collect

When you request a free guide, we collect your email address, your first name if you choose to give it, which free guide you chose, how you found us (from the link you clicked), and a record of your consent. Our email service also records whether you open our emails or click their links. When you sign up, your IP address is held for about 10 minutes to stop spam signups.

For website visits we use Google Analytics. It sets cookies with a random ID and records pages visited, a rough location, device and browser type, the page you came from, clicks on links to Amazon, and that a signup happened, without which guide or who. It never receives your name or email, and never anything you answer in the Calm Kitchen Check-In (those answers stay in your browser). We have turned off Google's advertising features (Google signals and ad personalization) for this site, and we use no advertising pixels.

How we use it

We use your email to send you the guide you asked for and occasional kidney-friendly recipes and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. We will never sell your email address or share it for advertising.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of trusted services to run this site. Some are based in the United States, so signing up involves your data being processed there:

When you tick the consent box and subscribe, you agree to your email address and first name being stored in the United States by Loops. Our cookbook is sold on Amazon; any purchase you make there is governed by Amazon's own privacy policy, not this one.

Your rights and how to delete your data

You can, at any time: unsubscribe using the link in any email; ask what data we hold about you; ask us to correct it; or ask us to delete it entirely. A deletion request means we remove your record completely and ask our service providers to do the same. Note that unsubscribing stops all emails and keeps your address only on a do-not-contact list so we never email you again; if you want the record erased fully rather than just suppressed, email us and we will delete it.

To exercise any of these rights, email anna@annabrookfield.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Because a kidney-friendly cooking signup can say something about health, we also follow our Consumer Health Data Policy, which explains your rights in more detail.

Data retention

Your email and optional first name are kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

Children

This site and our emails are intended for adults cooking for kidney health. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. For any question about your data, contact anna@annabrookfield.com.
